Kelly Gibson is a qualified Naturopath with a special interest in children’s health.

Hello, my name is Kelly and I have been practising as a Naturopath for over 10 years in Sydney and the Illawarra. My love of herbal medicine, whole foods, nutrition and children’s health has led me to specialise in all things baby and children’s wellbeing.

As a mum of two beautiful girls, I understand the complexities that come with trying to keep children healthy in a world where our children are getting sicker! My goal for all my patients is to break everything down and provide achievable advice and simple strategies to make your child happier and healthier.

I am fortunate enough to undertake a lot of my further training overseas at some outstanding Paediatric Seminars, gaining the most up to date research and treatment solutions to support my patients with their acute or chronic conditions.

Children’s health is my absolute passion, and helping babies, toddlers, children, and teens thrive brings me immense gratitude.

I see patients in-clinic at Thirroul Natural Healing on Thursday’s and Saturday’s and online Wed-Sat. I also work as a Senior Naturopath for Boob to Food which is an online community that now has a virtual clinic. Jump on over to Boob to Food for an abundance of information on everything children’s health, food and parenting.

My core values

First do no harm…

This is the number one rule for Naturopathic philosophy and something that I strongly standby. I take into account my patient’s health history, family history, medications, current self prescribed supplements, existing medical conditions and the child’s constitution BEFORE I put together a treatment plan.

Researched based…

Understanding research and how to apply it to clinical practice is an important aspect of how I work as a clinician.

As a requirement of my associations (ATMS, NHAA), I must ensure that I keep up to date with further education every year. I do this by reading the latest research, attending seminars, webinars, podcasts, mother’s group education and hosting local workshops.

Traditional medicine…

My love of herbal medicine runs deep haha, just ask any of my patients! Traditional herbal medicine has been used for centuries and embodies the collection of knowledge of plants and their therapeutic benefits.

I use liquid herbal extracts, herbal teas, food as medicine, Bush and Bach flower essences and homoeopathics.

I would not achieve the wonderful results that I get without using plant medicine.

Treating the WHOLE person is a part of our Naturopathic philosophy. This means that I look at my patients physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.

Inclusiveness…

Everyone is welcome at my clinic regardless of their gender, age, sexuality, ethnicity, disability or religious beliefs.

I want everyone to feel safe and to be treated equally.

Breastfeeding is always welcome.
